UPDATE: Arrest made after Wednesday Morning Shooting Outside Amazon Fulfillment Center in Chattanooga

Chattanooga Police have made an arrest for the early morning shooting at the Amazon fulfillment center that left a teen in critical condition.

Police say 20-year-old D’ante Jones has been taken into custody and charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm during a Felony.

Jones told police he and the victim got into an argument this morning in the parking lot. He said after his shift, he got a rideshare home, got his gun, and came back to shoot the 19-year-old.

Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting outside the Amazon Fulfillment Center near Volkswagen Drive on Wednesday around 4:30 AM ET.

Upon arriving, they found a 19-year-old man with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Investigators believe this was a targeted attack, and as of now, it appears that an unidentified male approached the victim and shot him at close range before leaving the scene on foot.

Amazon has shut down operations for the day.
