From Chattanooga’s Finely Stadium and the BlueCross BlueShield Prep Football Jamboree. Our local teams participating showed up and showed out…

South Pittsburg Pirates beat Ooltewah 21 to 0 in their first game. Later, the Pirates beat Silverdale 14 to 0 in their second game.

Now the Pirates move on to face Oliver Springs in their season opener at home Friday night at Beene Stadium.

The Marion County Warriors start their Jamboree play by defeating Chattanooga Christian School 21-0 with Brody Leonard, Ashton Martin, and Zaiden Humphrey all scoring touchdowns.

In their next game, The Warriors beat Silverdale 7-0. Sam Pickett had a 65-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Now it’s on to the season opener at home vs the East Ridge Pioneers next Friday at Bill Baxter Stadium.

In the Sequatchie County Jamboree at Dunlap…

1st quarter it’s Sequatchie’s JV team defeating Bledsoe’s JV 7-0.

2nd quarter— The Rhea County Golden Eagles topped The Bledsoe Warriors 9-7.

In the 3rd — Rhea moves on to beat the Grundy County Yellowjackets 8-0

In the next game — it’s the 4th quarter and Grundy defeats the Howard Hustlin’ Tigers 7-0.

In the 5th, it’s a battle of the Tigers — with Whitwell taking their turn to defeat Howard 7-0.

In the 6th and final quarter, the Sequatchie County Indians top Whitwell 3-0.

Coming up Friday night…

Whitwell opens their season on the road at Huntland.

Sequatchie County hosts Bledsoe to open the season.

Grundy has the night off, opening their season on the road at Huntland on Friday, August 25th.
