Eight People Charged in Stevenson Alabama Drug Bust

On Friday, August 11, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Jackson County Alabama Sheriff’s Office, Hollywood AL Police Department, and Stevenson AL Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on County Road 287 in Stevenson, Alabama. During this search, approximately 326.4 grams of a methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, approximately 102 grams of marijuana, assorted controlled pills, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia were located and seized.

Eight people were arrested in connection with this investigation and charged with various drug-related charges.

James Kenneth Carter, age 34 of Bridgeport; Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances and Loitering in a Drug House.

Melanie Lynette Carano, age 51 of Stevenson; Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree.

James Stacy Dunn, age 47 of Hollywood; Trafficking in Fentanyl, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree.

Adam Joe Dunn, age 47, of Bridgeport; trafficking in Fentanyl.

Michael Keith Garrard, age 49 of Stevenson; Trafficking in Fentanyl, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances X 3, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree.

Stephanie Nicole Monk, age 24, of Bridgeport; Loitering in a Drug House.

Tristan Lee Sawyer, age 24 of Bridgeport; Loitering in a Drug House.

Christopher Odel Taylor, age 35 of Stevenson; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree, and Loitering in a Drug House.
