On Thursday at approximately 10:00 PM, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Grundy County Communications of a shooting in Palmer.
Deputies arrived on the scene to discover a white male with a single gunshot wound to the face. Grundy County EMS transported the gunshot victim to a staging area with the assistance of Grundy County deputies. The patient was transported via air medical transport to a trauma center.
The Grundy County investigative division was called to the scene and detained one person. The person of interest did call in and give their location and gave no issues when detained. This person has been fully cooperating with the authorities. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has released no other details.
