On Saturday at 5:15 PM CST Haletown Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the top end of Hales Bar Road and Hwy 41 for a large brush fire. The brush fire was called in by our Fire Chief, who drove up on the fire.

Haletown Engines 1 and 2, along with Rescue 1, responded to the scene and kept the fire from spreading to nearby homes. Haletown firefighters quickly performed an overhaul of the brush fire to prevent rekindling. There were no injuries.
