Tourism is getting a boost in communities across Tennessee, as the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development has announced that the state awarded 29 communities over $2.22 million in Tourism Enhancement Grants.
City of South Pittsburg: New stage flooring and electronic messaging signs at the Princess Theater $90,000.
Sequatchie County: Wayfinding and interpretive signage, lighting, and sound for Harris Park & Coops Creek Commons, fans for Harris Park pavilion $100,000.
Town of Tracy City: Addition of roof to stage, including lighting & electricity, sidewalk and parking lot improvements, construction of a pedestrian path, wayfinding, and interpretive signage $88,350.
