A car crash on Sand Mountain in Dade County, Georgia, killed two people early Monday morning, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
At approximately 1:49 am, the Georgia State Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash on Brow Road north of Wells Road.
The vehicle struck an embankment before becoming airborne, crashing into a tree, and caught on fire.
Two front-seat occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. A third person in a rear seat was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and no names have been released.
