Haletown Volunteer Fire Department Responds to Car Fire at Georgia State Line

At 12:40 Saturday afternoon, the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded to I-24 at mile-marker 166 for a vehicle fire. The location of the fire happened to be just over the Georgia state line.
Haletown arrived on the scene alongside Trenton-Dade Fire and quickly extinguished the burning vehicle and the woods on the side of the interstate, which had ignited from the car fire.
There were no injuries to occupants or firefighters.
