Woodlee Steps Away from Coaching at MCHS; New Basketball Coach Named

On Tuesday, Marion County High School announced the new coaching staff for the Lady Warriors basketball team. The staff includes Head Coach Brandon Harmon, who has been an assistant coach at programs in East Tennessee and Georgia for six years. He will be assisted by Ansley Tucker, Caroline Rash, and Emily Webb.

To clarify, Kasey Woodlee, who just finished her third year as head coach at Marion County, will not coach the 24-25 to focus on administration duties at Jasper Middle School. She is the school’s Assistant Principal.

Woodlee, who played on the 1998 Grundy County state championship team, has coached in Grundy, Sequatchie, and Marion counties.

Woodlee, a mother of one, told Sequatchie Valley Now that this move will allow her more time to be a mom and fan. Her son, TJ Starkey, is a rising athlete at Jasper Middle. She thanked Marion County High School for the opportunity to coach the Lady Warriors for 3 years.
