The Tennessee General Assembly passed legislation Tuesday that would suspend driving privileges for juveniles who make mass violence threats on school property or at a school-related activity.
If the juvenile already has their driver’s license, they will lose it for one year. If the juvenile does not have their license, they lose the ability to obtain a driver’s license for one year.
The bill is headed to Governor Bill Lee’s desk for his signature. Once signed into law, the act would take effect July 1.
