Busy Morning for Haletown Volunteer Fire Department

Pork truck fire

On Sunday, July 28, 2024, just before midnight, Haletown Fire reported to I-24 Mile Marker 166 for a fully engulfed semi-trailer hauling pork.

Upon arrival, Haletown and Jasper Firefighters battled and extinguished the fire. Firefighters and TDOT personnel cleared the wreckage from the interstate. The scene was cleared by all fire personnel just after 2 AM Monday morning.

On Monday morning, July 29, 2024, at 9:30, Haletown Fire was dispatched to a brush fire caused by a tree falling on power lines on Highway 41 just past The Upper Bank restaurant.

Upon arrival, EPB linemen informed the firemen that the line was dead, and everything was good.
