Ed Nunley
On Friday, around 1 p.m., a logging truck collided with a vehicle on Highway 28 near Cordell Road.
The accident took the life of Ed Nunley, the District 4 County Commissioner for Sequatchie County. He was also a member of the Sequatchie County 911 Board, the Sequatchie County Chamber of Commerce Board, the Sequatchie County Cancer Network, the Masonic Lodge, the Lions Club, and a volunteer for ValleyFest.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 12 PM in the chapel of Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will follow in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Monday, August 5, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
