As a reminder, there is no trespassing at the soccer fields behind John Grizwald Ball Park in Dunlap. The school board owns this land, which the Sequatchie Youth Soccer Association leases. Trespassing signs were put up with the full support of the Director of Schools.
The owner of a grey Razr with neon orange wheels/tires decided to let their dog relieve itself in the middle of the U10 soccer field over the weekend. The Dunlap Police Department has filed a report. When the person is located, trespassing charges will be filed. Dunlap Police will also be conducting drive-throughs at the fields.
Sequatchie Youth Soccer Association is saddened and angry that some think they have a right to do this. The amount of volunteer time and effort that goes into caring for these fields is immeasurable.
They receive zero help or funds from the city or county. This is done so children can learn and play soccer safely and cleanly.
If anyone has any information, please do not hesitate to contact the soccer association by email at sequatchieyouthsoccer@gmail.com or call Dunlap Police.
