No Viable Threat at Jasper Schools

Marion County Schools received a call from the Department of Homeland Security regarding an allegation of a possible threat at schools in Jasper. The information was obtained at 11:00 pm on Wednesday, and the investigation ran until 3:00 am Thursday morning.

Authorities determined that there was no viable threat in this instance. On Thursday, extra law enforcement was at the campuses.
