Brush Fire Extinguished on Monday
On Monday (Oct 21, 2024), at 4:28 p.m., Haletown Fire and Rescue responded to a brush fire on Brindilene Drive. Upon arrival, the fire was already an acre-wide and picking up steam. Crews immediately cut a fire break around the entire fire, which contained the blaze and kept it from spreading.
The Tennessee Division of Forestry and Jasper Highlands Fire Department relieved Haletown and extinguished the hot spots.
