Tennessee Early Voting Down from 2020, but Up Locally

With just a few days left, early voting turnout in Tennessee has surpassed 30%. Early voting for the Nov. 5 General Election ends Oct. 31.

On Friday, Oct. 25, the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office said 1,450,625 voters had cast their ballots in the Volunteer State. This surpasses 2016 numbers by 31% after the ninth day of early voting, but it’s still almost 7% lower than the turnout for the 2020 election.

Despite being down slightly in the state, early voting in Marion County has been good, with 5,795, up by 553 compared to 2020. Sequatchie County totals are at 3,795, up 235. There have been 1,833 Bledsoe County early voters, up 150, and Grundy County stands at 2,523, also up 43 voters.
