Firefighters Respond Semi-Truck Fire Monday on I-24
On Monday at 2 PM, Haletown Fire and Rescue responded to a semi-truck fire on Interstate 24 at mile-marker 162.
The Town Jasper and Jasper Highlands Fire Departments were called for mutual aid.
Upon arrival, the tractor was fully engulfed and spread to the trailer. Crews kept the fire from spreading and kept the trailer to minimum damage. Firemen spent 4 hours at the scene on Monday afternoon.
