Five ball carriers for Marion combined for 214 yards and five touchdowns, led by Mason Mays’ 15 carries for 66 yards and two scores as the Warriors put away third-ranked East Robertson 49-18.
Sam Pickett rushed for 58 yards on 11 carries, including a pair of touchdowns. Senior quarterback Tilton Pickett was 6-of-9 passing for 102 yards and a touchdown, and Ashton Martin returned a kickoff 70 yards for a score.

The South Pittsburg Pirates moved on to the Class 1-A TSSAA state quarterfinals, defeating Chattanooga Prep 35-21 on Friday night. The fourth-ranked Pirates did not attempt a pass and had just two players carry the ball: sophomore quarterback Dayon Cooper and junior running back JaMychal Buckner. They combined for 39 rushing attempts for 378 yards and five touchdowns.
South Pittsburg (10-2) advances to the quarterfinals for the ninth time in the past 10 years and will
travel next week to seventh-ranked Clay County (10-2), which eliminated Whitwell. Hear the action on The River 104.9.
The 10th-ranked Whitwell Tigers scored first on a 65-yard run by Brandon Easterly and had 156 more rushing yards than their hosts at halftime, but once Easterly left the game with a knee injury.
The Tigers season ended as they fell to Clay County 39-27.
The Sequatchie County Indians won their 11th consecutive game with a 42-26 home victory over the Central Purple Pounders.
The defense caused six turnovers, including four interceptions by four players and two fumble recoveries for the Indians.
Sequatchie County (11-1) will host Meigs County (9-3) in Friday’s Class 3A quarterfinal round.

Bledsoe County defeated Tellico Plains 35-0 as the Warriors moved to 11-1.
Bledsoe, which had reached the second round five times in the past six seasons, advanced to the quarterfinals for only the third time in program history and the first time since 1983. The fourth-ranked Warriors will travel to fifth-ranked York Institute this Friday.
