On Saturday afternoon, just before 5 p.m., Haletown Fire and Rescue responded to a truck fire beside a resident. The Jasper Fire Department was called to the scene for the use of their tanker.
Upon arrival, the vehicle was fully involved, and the fire was trying to extend into the home’s attic. Firemen responded aggressively, quickly keeping the fire from spreading. The truck was a total loss, but the house was saved with minimal damage. No injuries were reported.
