Investigation Launched into Allegations of Animal Cruelty at Whitwell Ranch

A ranch that once earned the trust of community members for horse boarding is now at the center of an animal cruelty investigation. Ivy Linder, the manager of Lakota Ranch, is facing serious allegations as the sheriff’s office looks into claims of neglect and mistreatment of animals.

According to investigators, numerous neglected and dying dogs were discovered on the premises of the ranch. Witnesses reported to law enforcement that they observed a lack of food and adequate water in the animals’ enclosures, leading to alarming cases of emaciation among the dogs.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) confirmed that a deputy served Linder with a criminal summons on Tuesday. As the investigation continues, she now has 10 days to turn herself into authorities.
