A devastating house fire in Marion County claimed the life of a 78-year-old woman on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency responders, including Marion County deputies and the Sequatchie Fire Department, arrived at the scene on Coppinger Cove Road in Sequatchie on Wednesday afternoon. Four additional volunteer fire departments from the county also assisted in battling the blaze.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that her body has been transported to the coroner’s office in Nashville for an autopsy.
