The Dunlap Fire Department responded to a report of a fire on Rankin Avenue around 4:30 on Saturday. A piece of cooking equipment triggered an alarm.
Firefighters arrived at the scene just minutes after the alarm sounded, but the fire had already been extinguished with a fire extinguisher.
A fan was set up to clear the smoke, and a thermal imaging camera was utilized to ensure the fire was completely out. No injuries have been reported.
