Operation Impact on I-24 Runs All Day Friday

The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) announced a special operation on Friday targeting all of Interstate 24 in the state.

Operation Impact I-24 launches at 12 a.m. Friday and runs through 11:59 p.m. Friday to reduce traffic deaths. Other agencies will join THP to target enforcement on I-24 from the Kentucky state line to the Georgia State line.

During the operation, law enforcement will target aggressive and distracted driving, drivers using cell phones, and those who fail to wear seatbelts. Counties participating in the operation include Rutherford, Montgomery, Robertson, Davidson, Coffee, Grundy, Marion, and Hamilton.
