A couple from Dunlap, Tennessee, was arrested on March 14 in Polk County, Florida, for vehicle theft and drug possession.
Polk County deputies were conducting a traffic stop and discovered that the 2009 white Nissan Murano had been stolen. The occupants were identified as Aaron Waters and Brooke Leon.
The Nissan had been reported stolen to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee. Leon had two active warrants from Tennessee, but extradition was declined. Waters and Leon face charges of motor vehicle theft and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
