At 3:38 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, the Dunlap Fire Department was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident on Hwy 127 (Rankin Avenue) near Seminole Drive.
Firefighters arrived and found the vehicle occupied by a driver and passenger. Both were extricated from the car.
Dunlap Fire reports that the unnamed driver did not survive the accident, and Puckett EMS transported the passenger with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Dunlap Police is investigating the crash. Sequatchie County EMA assisted at the scene of the accident.
