71 Year-Old Scottsboro Man Arrested on Multiple Child Exploitation Charges

A Scottsboro man is facing multiple child exploitation charges stemming from a cybercrime investigation.

On Thursday, the Scottsboro Police Department (SPD) executed a search warrant at a residence on Rose Drive, following a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

According to SPD, investigators arrested Michael Triplett, 71, of Scottsboro during the search.

Triplett is charged with 23 counts of Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material.

He is currently being held at the Jackson County Jail on a $345,000 bond.
