According to newly released data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, all but one of Tennessee’s 95 counties reported a drop in their unemployment rates in April.
Unemployment rates decreased from March to April in 94 counties, with only Unicoi County reporting an increase.
Williamson County recorded the state’s lowest unemployment rate for the month at 2.2%.
Tennessee’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in April was 3.5%. The U.S. rate was 4.2%.

- Hamilton County: March 3%-April 2.7%
- Grundy County: March 4%-April 3.7%
- Marion County: March 3.8%-April 3.4%
- Sequatchie County: March 3.7%-April 3.3%
