An East Ridge firefighter recently purchased a boat. However, Thomas Finch reports that something unexpected occurred in Marion County while transporting it.
After buying the boat in Scottsboro, Alabama, Finch says, while traveling along River Canyon Road in Marion County, Finch reported that their vessel came under fire three times.
According to Finch, one bullet struck the rear of the boat, narrowly missing his son’s black Labrador retriever, who was also present. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident.
