Three people are facing felony charges after Scottsboro police said a traffic stop over the weekend led to a drug bust.
It happened on Saturday in the 10000 block of Veterans Drive.
Scottsboro Police say they found more than 100 grams of methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle during a search.
Police said the driver, 51-year-old Lonnie Ray Walters Jr., of Henagar, along with 40-year-old Mary Ann Mavoureen Kelley and 47-year-old Kerry Dewaun Sartin, who were both passengers from Dutton, were all charged with felonies.
Lonnie Ray Walters Jr. was charged with:
- Drug Trafficking
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Obstructing Governmental Operations
- Resisting Arrest
Mary Ann Mavoureen Kelley was charged with:
- Drug Trafficking
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Obstructing Governmental Operations
Kerry Dewaun Sartin was charged with:
- Drug Trafficking
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Obstructing Governmental Operations
All three suspects were eventually booked at the Jackson County Jail.
Kelley and Martin remain in custody while Walters was released on July 6.
