The Pikeville Police Department has been informed of counterfeit money circulating in the area. Citizens and merchants are asked to please be aware of fake money passing through Pikeville and possibly other areas. Merchants are encouraged to always mark their bills (all denominations) and report any suspicious money to the Pikeville Police Department or your local police.
