The Haletown Volunteer Fire Department conducted a training day on Saturday.
They split into two groups. The first group stayed at Station One and trained in Rapid Intervention Team skills, which were used to rescue firefighters in a Mayday situation.
The second team went off the mountain with Haletown Volunteer Fire Department, Jasper Highlands, Sequatchie Volunteer Fire Department, and Fire Rehab Services working a controlled burn of an abandoned house.
