Unemployment Rates Drop in Area Counties

According to new data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD), unemployment rates declined in every Tennessee county in August.

All 95 counties saw their unemployment rates drop from July to August, while no county experienced a decline from June to July.

Local county unemployment rates:

Marion-5.3 in July, down to 4.1 in August

Sequatchie-4.9 in July, decreasing to 4.3 in August

Grundy-5.6 in July, down to 4.3 in August

Bledsoe-4.0 in July, falling to 3.2 in August

Hamilton-4.1 in July, decreasing to 3.4 in August
