The South Pittsburg Rotary Club is partnering with Moss Motors and Ford Motor Company’s “Drive For Your Community” program to host a special fundraiser benefiting Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering beds to needy children.
Event Date: Friday, October 24
Time: 10 AM – 4 PM CT
Location: SVEC Office Parking Lot, 512 S. Cedar Ave, South Pittsburg
Cost: Free to participate!
Here’s how it works:
• Stop by and test drive a new Ford vehicle — no strings attached.
• Complete a quick survey after your drive.
• For every survey completed, Ford donates $30!
If we reach our goal of 200 surveys, that’s $6,000 raised — enough to provide at least 25 local children with a brand-new bed, mattress, and linens of their very own.
The South Pittsburg Rotary Club will staff the event, and the funds raised will support a bed build day at the SHP Build Shop in Monteagle. Students from Interact Clubs at South Pittsburg, Marion County, and Whitwell High Schools will volunteer their time to help assemble the beds in a joint community service action.
This is a fun, easy way to make a real difference in a child’s life — and an excellent opportunity to bring our community together in service.
So mark your calendar, grab your friends, family, and coworkers, and join us on Friday, October 24. A short drive and survey will help kids sleep better, feel more confident, and perform better at school.
