Female Busted on Drug Charges in Bledsoe County

The Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Office continues to take aggressive action against illegal drug trafficking in the county.

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Big Springs Gap Road area. During the encounter, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle.

The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, a handgun, and drug paraphernalia. The driver, Shelia Watts, was taken into custody on multiple

Watts was charged with:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale
  • Possession of Marijuana for Resale
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Sheriff Morris stated:

“This is exactly the kind of criminal activity that destroys families and threatens the safety of rural communities like ours. My deputies will continue to work aggressively to intercept illegal drugs and weapons before they reach our neighborhoods. If you bring drugs into Bledsoe County, expect to go to jail.”
