On Friday, October 31, 2025, while many families were out trick-or-treating and attending Halloween events, officers with the Dunlap Police Department took proactive steps to keep our community safe by conducting sex offender compliance checks throughout Sequatchie County.
During these checks, one individual was arrested on an active warrant for Violation of the Sex Offender Registry. All other individuals contacted were found to be in compliance.
Under Tennessee law, registered sex offenders are subject to specific restrictions during Halloween night. Officers visited residences to ensure these individuals were in full compliance with state-mandated rules and conditions.
