Fallen Hunter Rescued in Grundy County

Grundy EMS crews responded to a deer hunter who had fallen from a tree stand in the northern part of the county on Sunday.

EMS personnel (Paramedic Lebron Kilgore, Advanced EMT Luke Meeks, Paramedic Jared Meeks, and Advanced EMT Kendra Taylor), along with the Altamont and Beersheba Fire Departments, assisted with extrication from the woods. The hunter had fallen 15 feet from the tree stand. They were able to run the new side-by-side vehicle to access the scene.

Due to the extent of the injuries, LifeForce 5 airlifted the patient to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment.
