Recent Alabama Brush Fire Contained due to Combined Efforts

Stevenson, Ala., Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Bridgeport, Hollywood Fire & Rescue, Alabama Forestry, Tennessee Valley Authority, and North Alabama Electric Cooperative recently reported the largest brush fire Stevenson has seen this year.

This fire covered over 70 acres and put 10 structures and key electrical infrastructure at high risk. Stevenson Volunteer Fire and Rescue thanked the local agencies and the state department for making the fire safe and contained.

Stevenson Volunteer Fire and Rescue deployed a personal drone to provide an aerial view and assist in directing firefighting efforts, giving crews real-time information on fire movement and equipment placement.

Stevenson Volunteer Fire and Rescue experienced about $6,000 in equipment damage, but thankfully, no injuries.
