A 27-year-old man was transported to a local hospital in stable condition after his vehicle fell approximately 80 feet down the side of Sand Mountain near Trenton on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred on State Route 301, where the steep terrain posed significant challenges for first responders. It took over an hour to bring the driver up the slope, after which he was airlifted from the scene.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the accident.
