Marion County Election Commission Reminds Candidates of Important Information

Current and aspiring public officials may have received your reminder email regarding your Statement of Interest disclosure. THIS IS SEPERATE FROM YOUR CAMPAIGN DISCLOSURE.

Even if you signed a waiver of non-disclosure for spending $1000 or less on your candidate campaign, this is still required if you are QUALIFIED CANDIDATE ON A ’26 BALLOT. This is also requirement for current members of local BZAs, Planning Commissions, and similarly tasked boards.

Consult your local municipality’s executive should you have any questions. The link below contains several “If questions: Contact” links within the page should it not be clear, but do not take this lightly as grace has thinned with the amount of outreach BECF has invested in getting this done.

Help us keep Marion County off the naughty list this holiday season. Please have these completed no later than January 31, 2026. If you already are an official, you should have received a notification email.

Additionally, once you have qualified as a candidate, you will receive an email directing to fulfill this requirement as well. https://conflict.app.tn.gov/conflict/
