Volunteers Needed for Lake Cleanups

Chickamauga, Nickajack, and Watts Bar lakes are included in the 2026 Adopt a River Mile cleanup.

Volunteers are needed to clean lake sections twice yearly, with only 31% of Chickamauga, 28% of Nickajack, and 11% of Watts Bar adopted so far. In 2025, 72 new sections were adopted and over 61,000 pounds of trash were collected, adding to more than 337,000 pounds removed since 2021.
