Grundy County Man Faces Murder Charge after Fentanyl Death of Another

On March 9th, Troy Cash of Coalmont, Tennessee was indicted by the Grundy County Grand Jury on charges of Second-Degree Murder and Manufacture/Sale/Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Fentanyl).

An investigation conducted by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office determined that Cash allegedly provided fentanyl to an individual, resulting in that person’s death.

This case highlights the consequences of fentanyl in our communities. Multiple drug overdose investigations remain ongoing.

Troy is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
