
Quinntis Lioneal Smith
On Saturday night Scottsboro officers conducted a traffic stop near N. Houston St. and Maple Ave.
After stopping the driver, identified as Quinntis Lioneal Smith (46 of Stevenson), officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was asked to step out and the officers searched the vehicle.
During the search, officers located a clear plastic bag containing a white, rock-like substance in the cup holder, along with multiple additional plastic bags and some marijuana inside the vehicle. The white, rock-like substance field tested positive for crack/cocaine.
A search of the subject’s person revealed additional quantities of crack/cocaine and marijuana. Officers also seized $1,159 in U.S. currency as well.
Smith was placed under arrest and charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Crack/Cocaine)
- Possession of Marijuana (2nd Degree)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Smith was transported to the Scottsboro City Jail and then transferred to the Jackson County Jail for his felony charge.
