According to AAA, the ongoing conflict in Iran has contributed to an increase in the average price of gasoline in Tennessee, which has reached $4 per gallon for the first time since 2022.
As of Monday, May 4, the state’s average gas price stands at $4.03 per gallon, representing an 18-cent increase from the previous month and $1.31 higher than the same period last year.
Over the past week, residents of Tennessee experienced a $0.26 rise in fuel prices.
On Monday afternoon, Jackson County, Al is up to $4.09 and Dade County, GA was averaging $3.72 per gallon.
