Truck Fire and Accident on Wednesday Morning

At 7:00 AM Wednesday morning, Haletown Fire and Rescue responded to I-24 west for a report of a semi-truck on fire, hauling FedEx packages.
During their respondence, two firemen observed an accident on the eastbound side that had rearended. The two firemen assisted and EMS was called.
The Jasper Fire Department responded to the semi fire to help Haletown Fire and Rescue with the blaze.
