MARION COUNTY I-24 Utility Work both directions from MM 166.6 to MM 160.0:Â Law Enforcement assisted rolling roadblock between TVA Road and Slygo Rd. Eastbound LM 160.0 nearest EXIT 161 and Westbound LM 166.6 nearest EXIT 167. Message boards, signage and law enforcement vehicles will be present. Motorists should be aware of personnel and equipment, reduce speed, and be prepared to stop. 07/19/26 between 6:00 am and 9:00 am, with a new rain date of 07/26/26.
MARION COUNTY I-24 [17.61-21.76] resurfacing from near SR-27 (US-72) to east of SR-28:Â The contractor will be resurfacing on I-24 in both directions from MM 152.2 to MM 156. The work will be performed from Sunday nights through Thursday nights from 7 PM – 6 AM each night. Single lane closures will be setup leaving one lane open to traffic during work hours. Tennessee Highway Patrol will be on site to assist with traffic control.
MARION COUNTY SR-108 [2.8-3.24] slide mitigation:Â The contractor will be performing slide mitigation operations, including grading, drainage and paving on SR-108 in Marion County at LM 2.8. The roadway will be reduced to one lane controlled by temporary traffic signals. The project completion date is 08/31/2027. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
MARION COUNTY SR-27 [2.73-4.22] from 2.73 to 4.22 resurfacing with cold in-place recycling (CIR):Â The contractor will be performing resurfacing operations on SR-27 from North of SR-56 (LM 2.7) to I-24 (LM 4.2) in South Pittsburg. This work will require single lane closure controlled by flaggers. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
MARION COUNTY SR-283 [2.69-8.11] from 2.69 to 8.11 resurfacing with Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR):Â The contractor will be performing resurfacing operations on SR-283 from near SR-27 (LM 2.69) to the Sequatchie County line (LM 8.11). This work will require single lane closure controlled by flaggers. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
REGION 2 The random on-call asphalt pothole patching on various Interstate and State Routes:Â The contractor will begin working on Monday in the following locations during this reporting period. Please be cautious of equipment entering and leaving the work zone. The contractor will be working Monday 7/20/2026 between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM in Marion County on SR28 between LM 2.5 and LM 11.5
SEQUATCHIE COUNTY SR-111 [4.32-7.57] resurfacing with cold in-place recycling (CIR):Â The contractor will be performing resurfacing operations on SR-111 from near Lewis Chapel Road (LM 4.3) to near East Valley Road (7.5) in Sequatchie County. This work will require single lane closure controlled by flaggers. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
SEQUATCHIE COUNTY SR-8 (TAFT HWY.) Utility Work both directions from LM 6.75 to LM 6.93:Â Flagger-assisted lane closures on SR-08 (Taft HWY) between Walden Dr. and McCallie Rd. Motorists should reduce speed and be prepared to stop. Trucks, arrow board/message boards, flaggers, and barrels/cones will be present 07/16/2026 through 07/20/2026 with from 9 am – 2 pm.
