16 year old Girl Facing Charges and More after Assualt of Middle School Football Player

A middle school football game in Franklin County experienced a disruption on Tuesday night when a student reportedly entered the field and pushed a player. The incident occurred during a matchup between South Middle School and Cornersville Middle School. The match was at Franklin County High School in Winchester.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has charged the student who entered the field with assault. Sheriff Tim Fuller identified the individual as a 16-year-old female, who was subsequently released to her parents. She faces charges of assault and disorderly conduct.

Additionally, the TSSAA has banned the student from attending Cornersville home and away games for one year. She is also prohibited from entering Franklin County schools for life.
