South Pittsburg 62, Franklin County 14: Class 1A’s Pirates were dominant throughout the first half, with the reigning state champions rolling up 438 yards by halftime against the Class 5A Rebels.

South Pittsburg senior quarterback Knox Israel was 10-of-14 passing for 255 yards and six touchdowns, including three to University of Tennessee commit Dayon Cooper. South Pittsburg is 4-1 so far, this season.

 

Marion County 20, Chattanooga Prep 12: Class 2A’s second-ranked Warriors (5-0) never trailed in the game never trailed in the win.

Marion County’s Taedyn Bibbs, all 5-foot-7, 150 pounds of him, ended the drama of a game mostly dominated by defense on his 51-yard sprint midway through the fourth quarter, with the senior’s touchdown securing a 20-12 win for the host Warriors over gritty Chattanooga Prep. Bibbs finished with 122 yards on just eight carries.

 

Grundy County 77, Pickett County 6: Not only are they 5-0 now, but the Yellow Jackets have outscored their competition 297-9 after Friday’s win.

Senior running back Vince Bryant scored four touchdowns. Beau Roberts threw two TD’s, Brooks Lusk returned a punt for a score, Eli Seagroves did the same with an interception.

 

Sequatchie County 31, Cascade 14: Sequatchie County now has a winning record of 3-2. The Indians were up 14-7 but were able to pull away in the second half for the road win. Austin Winton had 2 touchdown passes and #4 Mason Campbell added a 95-yard fumble return a touchdown.

 

Bledsoe County 42 York Institute 21: Marcos Ramirez ran for 179 yards and three touchdowns for the 4-1 Warriors.
