Soft Lockdown at North Elementary in Altamont on Wednesday
The Grundy County School of North Elementary in Altamont was placed on a soft lockdown Wednesday due to a medical issue on campus. The soft lockdown was implemented to provide privacy and allow appropriate personnel to respond to the situation while minimizing disruption to students and staff.
There was no threat to students or staff. Students are safe, and school operations are continuing as appropriate.
The Grundy County Schools Department said they appreciate the cooperation of students and staff.
