Another Succesful Season for the Marion County Warriors

Junior QB Zaiden Humphrey fires a pass during BlueCross Bowl

For the second consecutive year the Marion County Warriors competed for the Class 2A TSSAA state football championship in Chattanooga. They took on Huntington Mustangs.

Huntington took a 13-0 lead at halftime and held on for a 20-7 state championship win on Saturday at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, TN.

After losing several key players from last year’s gold ball winning team the Warriors from Jasper took home the silver ball after a very successful campaign as they finished 13-2.

Senior Mason Mays looks to recover a loose ball

For the Marion County offense, Junior QB Zaiden Humphrey was 10-21 passing for 102 yards and a TD. Senior Ashton Martin 8 carries for 41 yards. Mason Mays had 4 catches and a touchdown.

On defense, Mays lead Marion County with 11 total stops and Martin added 9.
