Miss Tennessee Runner-Up to Light Christmas Tree

Lighting the tree this year at the Town of Jasper 1800s Christmas in a Small Town will be none other than the Miss Tennessee first runner up and Miss Congeniality, Presley Powers, of South Pittsburg. As a local girl, Presley is well aware of how important hometown events can be and said she was very excited to get to be a part of this event.
Presley will also ride in the parade during the town’s event that evening. Food and craft venders will start off the day at 2 pm CT, with many events leading up to the annual parade beginning at 6 pm CT at Warrior Drive, continuing down Betsy Pack Drive, around the square and back up by Ingles to the high school to unload and return to the square for more festivities, including Powers lighting of teh tree and at 8 pm fireworks will be presented by the Jasper Fire Dept.
All events are free. Come shop with the food and craft vendors for great food and drink along with Christmas gifts for the upcoming holiday on December 24 & 25!
